How we serve our parish and community

Our outreach

Feeding the Homeless

Each month brother Knights join the Catholic Worker to feed our neighbors experiencing homelessness. Eggs, sausage, pancakes, potatoes, and cowboy coffee are prepared in the Catholic Worker’s kitchen at 500 W. Van Buren starting at 4:00 AM; the trailer and van are loaded around 6:00 AM; and feeding at G Street and McWilliams is underway by 6:30 AM. Join us for all or any part of the morning; there are more than enough jobs to go around, and you’ll be home by 8:00 AM. Contact SK Tom Brooks for guidance.

St. Anthony of Padua Respect Life Committee

First Friday Adoration immediately following the 8:30 AM Mass. All are welcome to pray for all life in front of the Blessed Sacrament.

Our mission: to develop and promote a Culture of Life at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church by promoting respect for and the defense and protection of life from conception to natural death, through prayer, public policy, public information and education, and pastoral care.

“Human life must be respected and protected absolutely from the moment of conception.” — Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2270

Pray for Vocations

“O God, we earnestly ask You to bless this archdiocese with many priests, Brothers, and Sisters who will love You with their whole strength and gladly spend their entire lives to serve your Church and to make You known and loved. Bless our families, bless our children. Choose from our homes those needed for your work. Mary, Queen of the Clergy, pray for us, pray for our priests, Religious, and deacons. Obtain for us many more. Amen.”
